"A giant of elegance, energy and finesse, this single-vineyard Fleurie is one of the wines of the vintage in Beaujolais. Staggering concentration on the tightly-packed medium- to full-bodied palate, which is extraordinarily cool and precise for the very warm vintage. The aromas are just beginning to open up, but there are already notes of red roses, pomegranates and cloves. Founded around 1100 by the Benedictine monks of Cluny, Château des Bachelards is rooted in nearly a millennium of viticultural mastery. Located in Fleurie, the estate rests upon blue clays found nowhere else in the appellation—a unique terroir that imparts a distinctive velvety texture and mouthfeel.

Since the 19th century, the wines have been recognized among the finest in their appellation, earning accolades at exhibitions in London and Paris. A pioneer of regenerative viticulture holding dual certification as organic and biodynamic, the Château eschews traditional Beaujolais practices in favor of long vinification and oak aging, amplified by chemical-free agriculture since 2007.
