2014 Clos de Sarpe 75CL
TASTING NOTES:
|
Château Clos de Sarpe, a Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Émilion, is nestled in the heart of the region's finest terroirs, known for producing wines of remarkable power, complexity, and length.
Since 1986, Jean-Guy Beyney, alongside his son, has managed the estate with a commitment to crafting wines that are as natural as possible. Their dedication was quickly recognized by great wine critics, leading to Château Clos de Sarpe being exported across the globe.
The blend remains consistent, with 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak barrels. The wine undergoes no fining during blending and is unfiltered before bottling, preserving the pure expression of the grapes. Grown in clay-limestone soil, Clos de Sarpe enchants with its vibrant red fruit notes, freshness, and silky tannins.
