2014 Potensac 75CL
TASTING NOTES:
The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin on the entry, a mixture of red and black fruit, a pinch of white pepper and a pretty, quite elegant finish. Go for the Grand Vin this year rather than the Deuxième. |
Château Potensac, located in the appellation of Medoc between the villages of Blaignan and Ordannac, has been owned by the family Delon, who are also owners of Château Leoville-Las Cases, since 1870.
Planted on the best quality soils in the Ordonnac district, the vineyards now extend over 60 hectares on a terroir where the typical characteristics of each grape variety express themselves very distinctly and give the wine superb ageing potential. Since 2003, the Château has been classified as Cru Bourgeois, and the wines of Château Potensac are as well known for their high quality.
