The second wine of L'Eglise-Clinet is pure Merlot aged in 50% new oak. It displays great precision on the nose with scents of wild strawberry, blood orange, and a hint of tangerine, all with sizzling definition and zest. This is so lively and "animated".
The palate is medium-bodied: lifted on the entry with dense dark berry fruit laced with crushed stone and a touch of black tea. Like all of Denis Durantou's 2010, this is underpinned by extraordinary freshness and vitality, whilst the finish has immense precision.
