Features a mix of juicy plum and blackberry compote flavors, with woodsy tea, cedar and apple notes, and a flash of licorice snap on the finish. It ends with an echo of slightly firm balsam, which is likely to outlast the fruit in the long run.

"The Château La Croix du Casse vineyard extends to the southern tip of the Pomerol plateau, with soils composed of gravel and ancient sands with a good proportion of iron grime underlain.

The property was acquired by the Casteja family in 2005 and Philippe Casteja began to carry out work to modernize this property. Château La Croix du Casse is a wine of charm and seduction, richness with finesse, it represents its terroir."
