The 2009, a blend of 75% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, is a sleeper of the vintage. The good news is that it shows loads of raspberries and cherries, silky tannins, wonderful elegance and a medium-bodied mouthfeel.

Located north of the Fronsac appellation, Château Grand Village is owned by the Jacques and Sylvie Guinaudeau since 2000 and is the home base of their family. The Guinaudeau’s are also in charge of the acclaimed Château Lafleur in Pomerol. The same team from Lafleur applies their expertise in vineyard management and vinification in Grand Village.
