2010 Araujo Estate Eisele Vineyard Cabernet 75CL
| TASTING NOTES:
Hints of dark blue and black fruit, mocha, espresso and grilled herbs flesh out on the huge finish. Today the 2010 is unusually open, but it is almost certain to shut down in bottle over the next 6-12 months. The 2010 is a super-classic Eisele Cabernet Sauvignon from Araujo. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2035. |
Araujo Estate Wines founded by Bart and Daphne Araujo, produces distinctive wines from the iconic Eisele Vineyard in Napa Valley and is widely considered to be one of California's "cult wineries".
The estate has been acquired by France's Pinault family through its holding the Artemis Group, parent company of Château Latour in Bordeaux, Domaine d'Eugenie in Burgundy and Château Grillet in the Rhone Valley. The purchase includes the 38-acre biodynamic and organically-farmed Eisele Vineyard, the winery and cave complex in northern Napa Valley, the Araujo Estate brand and existing inventory.
