2011 L'Eglise Clinet 75CL
TASTING NOTES:
Not as structured or tannic as Trotanoy, it moves more in the direction of the opulence and flashy, showy fruit of Hosanna and Petrus. It should drink well for 15-20 years. |
With an incredible terroir, Château L'Eglise Clinet was formed in 1882 by the great-great-grandfather of its current owner when he combined different plots the family had acquired since the 18th century.
Today, the 4.5 hectare vineyard surrounds the charming church of Saint Jean de Pomerol and is planted with 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. Rich, elegant and captivating for a remarkable balance between fruity richness and flexibility, Château L'Eglise Clinet is a great Pomerol.
