2005 Rauzan Segla 75CL
TASTING NOTES:
Still quite youthful, I anticipate a long life ahead for this perfumed beauty! The blend this year is 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, harvested between September 28 and October 28 at an average yield of 39 hectoliters per hectare. It was aged for 18 months in French oak, 70% new. The alcohol is 13.5%. |
For almost 400 years, Château Rauzan-Segla, a Second Great Classified Growth of 1855, reigns over the lands of the prestigious Margaux appellation located on the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region.
Château Rauzan-Segla has risen to the top of the wines of its appellation due to the restructuring of its vineyard, the modernization of its winery and cellar, and the owners’ careful attention to details. Looking, smelling, and tasting a glass of Rauzan Segla is an invitation to a journey like no other. An adventure that is full of unique and delicious experiences that characteries the fine wines from Bordeaux.
