This has quite an opulent black cherry and boysenberry scented bouquet, a hint of black olive in the background.
The palate is smooth on the entry, quite rounded with good body, slightly lower in acidity than its peers with a caressing finish.

"Behind an 18th-century gate, on the road to Petrus, a few hundred meters away and visitors will notice the Château La Croix Saint-Georges, entirely restored. On the facade of one of the cellars, a sculpture depicting St. George fighting on horseback reminds us that this estate once belonged to the knightly order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem."
