2007 Kistler Vineyard Pinot Noir 75CL
TASTING NOTES:
The 2008s appear to be slightly more fruit-forward, with a touch less minerality than the 2007s. They are full-bodied, impressively endowed wines, with the Chardonnays best drunk during their first 5-7 years of life, and the Pinot Noirs during their first 10-12. |
A pioneering presence in the Sonoma Coast appellation of California, Kistler Vineyards is renowned for compellingly layered, lively Burgundian-style Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Since its first vintage in 1979, the winery has grown in size to produce 25,000 cases per year. Grapes are estate grown and purchased from vineyards in Sonoma County. Low-yield farming, along with a philosophy of minimal intervention, ensures wines of vibrancy and elegance.
In 1992, Kistler Vineyards moved all production to its Vine Hill Road Vineyard in the Russian River Valley.
