The 2006 Pinot Noir Bodega Headlands Cuvee Elizabeth is undeniably a grand cru effort. Black raspberry, spring flower (violets), and kirsch aromas soar from the glass of this dark ruby/purple-tinged wine.
Medium to full-bodied with zesty acidity, beautiful penetration, and a soaring mid-palate as well as length result in a prodigious example of Pinot Noir that should drink well for a decade or more.

A pioneering presence in the Sonoma Coast appellation of California, Kistler Vineyards is renowned for compellingly layered, lively Burgundian-style Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Since its first vintage in 1979, the winery has grown in size to produce 25,000 cases per year. Grapes are estate grown and purchased from vineyards in Sonoma County. Low-yield farming, along with a philosophy of minimal intervention, ensures wines of vibrancy and elegance.

In 1992, Kistler Vineyards moved all production to its Vine Hill Road Vineyard in the Russian River Valley.
