2019 La Commanderie 75CL
TASTING NOTES:
The medium to full-bodied palate exudes dark fruit and spicy sparks, framed by chewy tannins and bold freshness, finishing with a minty kick. |
La Commanderie is under the care of the owners, Magali and Thibaut Decoster, with the assistance of their oenologist consultant, Hubert de Bouard de Laforest. Magali, the vineyard manager, and Thibault, the winemaker, are both passionate about wine and the St. Emilion appellation, where their 4 estates are located.
The couple chose to name their company after their combined names as a symbol of their strong commitment not only to the history, excellence, and terroirs of Saint-Émilion but also to the preservation of the unique natural environment entrusted to them.
"Château La Commanderie, a Grand Cru Classé since 2012, is a jewel of the Magali & Thibaut Decoster Vineyards. A powerful and very charming wine, it offers a very fine, floral, and delicate profile, characteristic of the appellation's northwest terroirs."
